WHO İS JEAN JACQUES ROUSSEAU

Jean Jacques Rousseau was born in Genoese on June 28, 1712. Rousseau died when he was nine days old because his mother was infected after birth. His father, on the other hand, is a watchmaker who also worked in the Topkapı Palace for a while.

After his father had a fight with a landowner, he entrusted his son to Nyon and moved to Nyon and never visited his son again. After staying with his uncle for a while, he left Geneva and did different professions.Jean-Jacques Rousseau is one of the most influential thinkers of the 18th century Enlightenment Age. Like every intellectual person, he could not fit into the sky by one part, but he had a great reaction in another part of his life by another part. The reason for this is undoubtedly the intellectuals' ability to go beyond the traditional way of thinking of their time.

This is enough to get many heads in trouble. Rousseau has written many works that form the building blocks of the French Revolution, which erupted shortly after his death. Most important ones; Emile, who has written on education, can be given as an example of the Social Contract, which is the basis of modern political and social thought, and Julie or the new Heloise, which is a novel in the letter novel, which has been extremely effective in developing fictional literature. He also includes important thoughts about his life in Confessions with his autobiography.

Although many people don't know, Rousseau is actually an important musician and composer. He worked on this subject for a long time and produced works. The most famous is Le Devin Du Village.
