WHAT İS THE CHANNEL TUNNEL?

      

          This tunnel is 50.5 km long. It was a very important tunnel for Europe. This tunnel is created a French and British land link.this tunnel was talking since in 1800.but the relationship between these two countries was bad in those years.so this plan cancelled.and a french enginner said that we should make a tunnel and he made a plan about this tunnel but Napoleon did not accept because Napoleon wanted to defeat England.in 19 th century,this tunnel is very talked about.some private company started to make tunnel but they didn't success.because it was breaking to england security.so it is cancelled.in 1960,france decided to start this tunnel but in 1970,this tunnel is cancelled with england's insufficient budget excuse.european countries was angry about it.but france wasn't giving up.they always think about it and always they was putting the table this topic.but england was escaping from it.in 1986,england and france sat down the table .and they decided to start make a tunnel.the cost cant pay from england and france  so the companies helped them out about payment.it finished in 6 may  1994.this became  the longest tunnel in these years.but now it is not the longest.in this prject,14.000 workers worked .
